Ringette Ontario Town Hall

Information update.

Ringette Ontario just held a Virtual Town Hall on their Facebook page to follow up on the earlier message they sent out regarding the first half of the season. (recording will be available on their youtube channel or Facebook). There will also be an FAQ released.

Here are the highlights:
'Ringette Ontario does acknowledge the frustration and disappointment at the way the season ended.  The purpose of their last update was not to send the message that there will be no ringette next season.  It won't be business as usual but they wanted to err on the side of caution.

Any programming that will be available for ringette will be driven by what the individual municipalities will be allowing.  In other words if the municipality will allow 10 players on the ice at one time maybe the programming that will be available will be 3 on 3, or 4 on 4 with neighboring municipalities with the same guidelines.

Ringette Ontario is focusing on programming that they will be able to deliver.  That is why tournaments in the first half of the season were canceled. All sports are in the same boat and the goal is to get people back on the ice in some way for 2020-2021.  The adaptation work is in progress and we hope to have it finalized in the next month.'

From our Association perspective, we still need people to register so that we can provide our numbers to Ringette Ontario in order to help with their programming. We will hold off on cashing any cheques until we are sure of the fee structure. So please send us your registration forms so we will have numbers to provide them.
