Twisted Twisters!!!
Submitted By Kurt Lindemann on Wednesday, December 21, 2011
Talk about receiving an early Christmas gift.... The Coaches asked and they received...

Our team had the opportunity to drive to Tillsonburg last Monday night.  Our girls came right out of school and in the vehicles to make the 7:15 game time.  Everyone arrived in great spirits and high with energy.  The girls took the ice knowing that we were down a player and that there would be lots of ice time to be had.  The girls did there chant and noticed that we were short our usually cheering squad in the stands.  We knew that the ones that we did have would not let us down.
The girls started the first period flying.  We seemed to be able to dominate the play during the first period with some great heads up passing.  The drills must be working during practice, hey Mattie!!!  Meghan started the scoring off an assist from Emma and Laura followed up with two of her own goals assisted from Emily and Mattie.  With the first period coming to an end we were leading 3-1.  The girls were still pumped but the gas was starting to run out.
The girls started the second period a little slower than the first.  The Twisters put a quick goal in 40 seconds.  The girls then started communicating on the ice well and calling out their passes.  Laynee then made a nice move and set up Courtney to get our fourth goal.  The pace slowed a little and the Twisters were trying everything they had to get the ring by Brooke.  Brooke took most of the angles away and when she needed someone to skate the ring out of the zone she passed the ring to Corrinn.  Laura then put an insurance goal in for us as the gas was almost out.  The girls were tired and wearing fast.  The Twisters were able to put one more goal in as we tried to delay time the best we could.
Congratulations on a well fought game.
